Force Construction was awarded a $4.4 million contract from the Indiana Department of Transportation to begin rehabbing a bridge on I-70 over the Flatrock River, 3 miles east of State Road 3 in Henry County. Crew will begin work on or after Friday, March 16.
Contractors will be replacing the beams and deck on the bridge. In preparation for the work, contractors will begin constructing a temporary bridge in the median. The median bridge will be used to shift traffic away from the work zone, which will allow contractors to safely work on rehabbing the bridges.
All work on the projects is expected to be complete by summer 2019.
