Alice Jean (Vaught) Fleenor died peacefully at her Richmond home on July 3, 2022, with her family by her side.  Alice was born in Danville, Kentucky on April 1, 1935, to Lawrence Lee and Mary Margaret Douglas Vaught.  Alice was 87 years old.

Alice moved to Richmond, Indiana, when she was 17 years old.  Here she met Charles Wilson Fleenor, and they married in 1953.  They had five children.  Alice was a homemaker during her children’s early years.  Later, she was an office manager for many years at Cox’s Supermarkets and then a private caretaker.

Alice leaves behind her husband, Charles; daughters Linda Wulick and Charlotte Nolan (Thomas) both of Scarborough, Maine; sons William Fleenor and George Fleenor, both of Richmond, and grandson Nathan Fleenor of San Diego, California; great-grandson Zachary Conley and great-granddaughter Faith Conley, both of Richmond; nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her sisters Helen Hale, Bertha Siler, Thelma Warner, Ollie Lee Sampson, grandson Travis Conley, granddaughter Amanda Fleenor, and son-in-law Michael Wulick.  A son, Charles Wilson Fleenor, Jr. died in 1956, shortly after birth.

Funeral arrangements will be made by Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Reid Foundation for Hospice Care 1100 Reid Parkway Richmond, Indiana 47374.
