Allen Duane Baker, 80, of Richmond, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at Reid Hospital.
He was born in Milton, Indiana, to Albert and Blanche Petersen Baker on June 11, 1938.
Duane began his trucking career as an owner-operating of Baker Brother’s Trucking before driving for several companies including Belden, Kempers, and Penske.
Duane was a member of Ravinia Park Baptist Church, and a former member of the Army Reserves. He enjoyed racing and fishing.
Survivors include wife Betty Baker; children Mark (Robin) Baker, Steven (Renee) Emmons, Debby (Bob) Sizemore and Carole (Scott) Kramer; grandchildren Stephanie Murphy, Stacy Emmons, Laura (Jon) Drutowski, Joshua McDonald, Lindsay McDonald and Curtis Kramer; sister-in-law Wanda Baker; aunt Jean (Bill) Vail; 4 nieces, 1 nephew, 5 great-grandchildren and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
Per Duane’s request no public services are scheduled at this time. Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
