Anthony D. Gilpin, “Tony,” age 67 of Cambridge City, IN passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at LifeCare Hospitals of Dayton. He was born March 19, 1951 in Liberty, Kentucky, the son of the late Chester and Mildred Gilpin. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Michael B. Gilpin; maternal and paternal grandparents; and father-in-law, Ernest E. Bragg. Tony is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carlene; children, Rachae D. (Scott) Cornett, Kyle A. Gilpin (Dr. Desiree Howell), Kevin C. (Mercedes) Gilpin; grandchildren, Sarah, Gavin, Gage, Alexis, Alivia, Paul, Arabella, Lilly, Zaiden, Elliana, Brylee, and twin grandchildren on the way; 3 great granchildren, Laila, Addaline, Boyd; mother-in-law, Ruth Bragg; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Tony retired from Ford/Visteon in Connersville, IN after 24 years. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching the Pittsburg Steelers and Indianapolis Colts. He also loved listening to country music. Most importantly, he loved playing with his grandkids. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 2-5 pm at American Legion Post #169 (25 W. Church Street, Cambridge City, IN 47327).
