Aron Ray Tate, age 47, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, August 23, 2018, at his home.
Born June 29, 1971, in Frankfurt, Germany, to Dan and Gayle Conley Tate, Aron was a Christian in faith and a resident of Wayne County, Indiana, since 1972. He graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1989. Aron was blessed with extraordinary mechanical skills. From an early age he could repair almost anything and re-engineer most designs to make them operate more efficiently. He enjoyed, and was quite successful in ‘catch and release’ fishing for largemouth bass and participated in many area tournaments. His favorite hobbies also included modifying four-wheel drive vehicles.
Survivors include his parents, Dan and Gayle Tate of Richmond; fiancée, Shelly Liverett; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. Howard and Mary Tate and Sid and Sylvia Conley.
The family would like to thank the RFD emergency response team and the staff of Reid Hospital (ER, 4th Floor, & ICU) and Reid Hospice for all the professional care and kindness extended to Aron.
Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5: 6-8.
Visitation for Aron R. Tate will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. James L. Girdley officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Centerville, Indiana.
