Brock Hackworth Suspect

A report of a suspicious vehicle sitting in the lot of a business in Cambridge City led to the arrest of a central Ohio man on drug charges.
At about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Indiana State Police Trooper Michael Garcia was in Cambridge City when he overheard a Wayne County dispatch on a suspicious vehicle sitting in the lot of a business on Indiana 1, just north of Cambridge City and Interstate 70.
Since Garcia was close, he went to check on the vehicle, and found a gray Honda occupied by two males sitting in the lot of the business. After making contact with the driver and passenger, Garcia could see a tourniquet on the lap of the passenger, and a used syringe on the floor by his feet, according to a press release from ISP Public Information Officer Sgt. John Bowling.
Wayne County Deputy Logan Schneider arrived to assist Garcia.
Further investigation by the officers found that the passenger, Brock Hackworth, 28, of Lewis Center, Ohio, was in possession of heroin, smoking pipes and numerous hypodermic needles, Bowling said.
Hackworth was arrested and charged with possession of a narcotic, Level 6 felony; possession of hypodermic needle, Level 6 felony; and misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
Hackworth was lodged in the Wayne County Jail, where he was still incarcerated as of Wednesday afternoon.
