Bobbie Gene Lockhart, Sr., 90, of Connersville, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at his residence.

He was born September 27, 1931 in Connersville, one of three children of Virgil and Martha Gant Lockhart, and graduated from Connersville High School.

Over the years, he was employed for D&M, Connersville Casket Company, and Herdrich’s Oil.

He was a member of Everton Baptist Church.

A veteran, Bobbie served in the United States Army in Korea.

In his leisure, he enjoyed going to garage sales and buying/selling lawnmowers.

Survivors include two children, Bob Lockhart, Jr. and Debbie Sergent, both of Connersville; seven grandchildren, Michelle (Randy) Dean, Timothy (Lydia) Lockhart, Brian (Diana) Lockhart, Amber (Charles) Rea, Amanda Sergent, and Clay (Jessemyn) Sergent; twelve great grandchildren, Benjamin (Katy) Cornett, Hannah Hamilton, Haley Hamilton, Aaron Hamilton, Kira Lockhart, Jacob Lockhart, Jonas Lockhart, Austin Spivey, Brandon Ervine, Alexis Robinson, Jayden Reynolds, and Kierstyn Linville; and seven great-great grandchildren, Kayson Riebsomer, Karma Cooper, Harmony Cooper, Phoenix Cooper, Emma Spivey, Aaliyah O’Farrow, and Emerson Doyle.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Rose Padgett, who passed away in 1990; a son, Barry Eugene Lockhart; a great granddaughter, Lydia Rose Lockhart; a brother, James Lockhart; and a sister, Betty Conklin.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home.
