Obituaries - Bobbie Glenn “Powder Puff” Wright

CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. – Bobbie Glenn “Powder Puff” Wright, age 82, of Cambridge City, Indiana, died Monday, September 25, 2017, at Reid Health.

Born May 10, 1935, in Cumberland County, Kentucky, to Delbert and Willie Sheckles Wright, Bobbie had lived in this community since 1997. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bobbie was a mason. He enjoyed watching football and wrestling. Bobbie loved his family dearly.

Survivors include his sons, Bobbie D. Wright of Cambridge City and Ralph Wright of Brandenburg, Kentucky; granddaughter, Bobbie Jo (Keith) Agessi of South Plainfield, New Jersey; great-grandson, Galvin Agessi of South Plainfield, New Jersey; sisters, Clara (Darrel) Honaker and Sally (Lawrence “JR”) Maupin, both of Richmond, Indiana; brother, Jackie Wright of New Jersey; nieces; nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Myrna Wright, who died on June 9, 2001; parents; sisters, Lela, Effie, Loutta, Eulene, and Olene; and brothers, Harold, Floyd, John, and Marvin. Visitation for Bobbie Glenn Wright was from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Henderson officiating. Burial was in Earlham Cemetery with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
