UPDATE: The boil advisory has been lifted.
Centerville officials are urging customers in a specific area of town to boil their water until further notice.
The area affected is from 816 North McMinn Road heading south on McMinn (west side of road ONLY) to Willow Grove Road.
The boil was prompted by an emergency water main repair.
Water should be boiled at a rolling boil for at least 12 minutes that would be used for drinking, cooking or washing vegetables. It’s not necessary to boil water for bathing or handwashing.
