MILTON, Ind. – Bonnie Sizemore, 88, of Milton, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Reid Health in Richmond. He was born on Sept. 12, 1930, to the late Robert Sizemore and Mallie Davison Sizemore in Breathitt County, Kentucky.
On Feb. 12, 1955, he married Beulah Marie Sizemore in Connersville. They were able to spend 49 years together before she passed away on October 21, 2004.
He was a member of New Hope Tabernacle of Faith Church in Connersville. Bonnie served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Bonnie was a member at the VFW Local Union 918. He had worked at National Metal for 33 years until it closed in 1983. Bonnie then went on to building fence until he retired in 1991. Bonnie also took care of mowing the Eastern Indiana Pentecostal Fellowship Camp Grounds for 29 years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by a daughter, Debra Sizemore, of Milton; a son, Randy (Corrina) Sizemore, of Cambridge City; a brother, Irvin Sizemore; a sister, Nancy Wayson; four grandchildren, Seth (Toni Stephens) Sizemore, Destiny (Josh) Staggs, Serena (Trent) Abney and Josiah Sizemore; and three great-grandchildren, Levi Ezra Staggs, Autumn Marie Staggs and Harper June Sizemore.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Everett Sizemore and David Sizemore; three sisters-in-law, Joyce Sizemore, Janet Sizemore and Rhonda Sizemore; a sister, Mary Collins; and a brother-in-law, Bill Wayson.
Visitation for Bonnie will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 4-8 p.m. at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville. The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the funeral home with Mike Ison, Josh Staggs, and Darrell Allen officiating. Burial with military honors performed by the Fayette County Honor Guard will follow in Union Cemetery.
