Obituaries - Brian Christopher Roberts

Brian Christopher Roberts, 40, of Connersville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 8, 2017, while he was a patient at the St. Vincent’s Heart Center in Indianapolis, Indiana following complications from a heart surgery.

He was born on February 26, 1977 in Hamilton, Ohio to James Allen Roberts and Karlene Wilson Gray.
He attended the Blooming Grove Family Worship Center in Blooming Grove, Indiana. He was a member of the Local 301 Carpenter’s Union of Indianapolis, Indiana. He had worked as a union carpenter. Before working as a union carpenter, he had been employed at the Paul Casket Company in Cambridge City, Indiana and Kentucky Fried Chicken in Connersville. He enjoyed restoring old cars, especially his 1971 Mach I car. He also enjoyed racing his race car at the Edgewater Race Track in Miamitown, Ohio. In his spare time, he loved to hunt, fish, and ride quads. He especially loved to spend time with his family and loved special holiday family gatherings.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family which include his wife – Lisa Kunkel Roberts, whom he married on July 15, 2004 in Connersville, Indiana. He also leaves behind his parents – Karlene and Bill Gray and James Allen Roberts and Amy Wollyung of Connersville; a daughter – KayLynn Rose Steele – at home; 2 sons – Windser Lee Wright Roberts – at home and Cameron Scott Waddell of Connersville; 3 brothers – James Allen and Alisha Roberts, Jr. of Connersville, Chad and Corina Gray of Connersville, and Jason Gray of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandparents – Roy and Anna Mae Roberts of Connersville and Betty Wilson of Metamora, Indiana; his aunts and uncles: Wanda and Dave Lowery, Jeff Wilson, and Tommy and Sisy Wilson – all of Metamora, Glen and Karen Wilson of Tucson, Arizona and Roger Dale Roberts and Pearlie Marie Thompson of Connersville; several nieces and nephews – Faith, Christoper, and Karlee Roberts, James Bertrum, Lastin Davis, Cody Steele, Gabrielle and Sophia Beuhner, Owen and MacKenzie Kunkel; and special friends – Vernon and Christine Bowling, Pearlie Urban, Linda Long, and Lavena Clark. He will also be missed by many cousins and many, many other friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather – Albert “Buck” Wilson; great-grandparents – Lottie and Hargus Baker and Elighue and Lidia Roberts; and his mother-in-law – Linda Kunkel.

The funeral service for Brian will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blooming Grove Family Worship Center in Blooming Grove, Indiana with Pastor Tom Marshall officiating. Burial will be in the Everton Cemetery in Everton. Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, located at 513 West 8th Street, in Connersville, Indiana.
