Caitlyn LeeAnn Logan, 21 of Connersville passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 after a courageous battle with diabetes. She was born on December 28, 1998, to Chuck and Marci (Heidlage) Logan in Connersville.
She attended Alquina United Methodist Church and Grace Church.
Caitlyn was on a competitive cheer team for several years and danced at Sandee’s Dance Explosion for 16 years.
She was a 2017 graduate of Connersville Senior High School, where she danced on the Spartanette Dance team all 4 years and was a member of the Golf team for 2 years. After high school, she was accepted into Indiana University in Bloomington, where she was then accepted into the IU School of Nursing program. In the nursing program, she was in the top 10% of her class and was awarded the Founders Scholar award.
She was an avid IU basketball and Los Angeles Lakers fan. She had lots of love for her dogs Tucker and Stella. Caitlyn was known for her contagious laugh and smile. She was determined but quiet and made an outstanding impact on many people. Her favorite time was Christmas Eve night, when her parents, brother, aunt, uncle and cousins would go out and look at all of the Christmas lights throughout the area. She had a passion for shopping. Most importantly she cherished her time spent with her family and friends.
Along with her parents she will be greatly missed by her brother, Dylan Logan and his girlfriend Kenzy Lynch; her aunts and uncles, Brad (Lisa) Day, Christopher Logan, Ryan Logan, Josh Heidlage, Misti Heidlage, Bruce (Jonie) Brock, Ruth Ann Hobbs and Nick (Megan) Chandler; cousins, Layne, Bo, Luke, Elizabeth, Autumn, Dalton, Devyn, Kyra, Tylissa, Zoe and Kaden; special uncles, Ted and Babe; maternal grandparents, Luke (Judy) Hobbs; paternal grandparents, Wayne (Brenda) Chandler; great grandmother, Joann Bode; special friends, Lauren, Meredith, Savannah, Chandler, Cammi, Kendra, Alexus and the Henry family; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Otto Eugene Logan; maternal grandfather, Mark Heidlage; great grandmother, Rosemary Chandler; a great aunt, Donna Cornett; and uncles, Bob and Mark Heidlage Jr.
The family wishes to thank Reid Health ER in Connersville and Richmond, IU Methodist Cardiac Medical Critical Care and the entire community of family and friends for their love, support and prayers.
Visitation for Caitlyn will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 309 W. 24th Street, Connersville, Indiana. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020, 12:00 pm at the church with Pastor John Reynolds and Pastor Tim Billups officiating with visitation from 11:00 am until time of the service. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in honor of Caitlyn to the Fayette Community Foundation. They can made at Calvary Baptist Church during the visitation and funeral or they can be sent to 521 Central Ave, Connersville, Indiana 47331.
