Carlotta Latoya Dorae Wilkerson, 37, of Richmond, Gained her Angel Wings on December 22, 2020. She was born January 14th, 1983 to Laverne Wilkerson and Frankie Wade in Richmond, Indiana.
Carlotta was known in her Community as a very outspoken lady. She was never afraid to speak her mind, a very generous and loyal friend, she was loved and respected by many. Carlotta enjoyed spending time with her family, Bingo, Casino trips and her wigs. She loved a good wig. Carlotta attended Richmond High School, but later received her GED. At a young age she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Bethel A.M.E. Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sister Alicia (Bill Webster) Wilkerson; brother Francis (Piggy) Wilkerson; one very special niece Na’Kayla Rice, step brother Charles Oliver of Richmond; three step sisters Delyla Wade, Tameka Wade and Ivy Wade al of Columbus, Ohio; very special God sons Kyhree Buckner Orr, Traveon Stubbs and Lewis Alexander II.; special devoted cousins Aremis (Smith) Coleman, Cordis Bernard and Lee Lee Coleman; special and devoted friends Jonita Malichi, Lisa Coffey Stubbs, Raymond Lewis and Tyra Ferguson, she also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her one and only special gift from God her daughter Cashimere D. Wilkerson who passed away shortly after birth, her mother Laverne Wilkerson, father Frankie Wade, grandparents Alice Armstead and Ellis Armstead, and very special devoted friends Katrice Orr, Djuana R. Berry and Richard W. Mebane Sr., as well as several other cousins, aunts and uncles.

Public calling hour will be held on Thursday December 31, 2020 from 11am-12pm (rotating 50 people at a time) at Community Family Funeral Home, with a private family service to follow. Mask and social distancing are required.
