Carolyn M. Henley, age 86, of Greens Fork, Indiana, died Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Golden LivingCenter – Golden Rule.

Born July 21, 1935, in Madison, Indiana, to Sam and Pearl Wilson Nay, Carolyn lived in Wayne County, Indiana, most of her life. She taught school for 41 years in Richmond, Williamsburg, and Hagerstown. Carolyn was a very active member of Greens Fork Christian Church, where she enjoyed participating in skits. Carolyn also enjoyed camping and traveling. Her world revolved around her grandkids, who she loved dearly.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Walter Henley; daughter, Sally (Bob) Gibson of Dublin, Indiana; grandchildren, Randy (Tina), Ronnie (La-shea), Ryan (Raquel), Nicole, and Jarrett; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Henry; siblings, Merrill (Gayle) Nay, Lavaughn “Bon” (David) Miller, and Neva (Col. Merton Chun, USA, Ret.) Chun; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister; and brothers, Stanley (Sandra) Nay and Alan Nay.

Visitation for Carolyn M. Henley will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2021, at Greens Fork Christian Church, 116 East Pearl Street, Greens Fork. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2021, at Greens Fork Christian Church with Evangelist Matt Fagan officiating. Burial will be in Greens Fork South Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
