Mary E. Gray

Mary E. Gray passed away on September 18, 2020 at her residence in New Castle. She was born to the late Chester and Effie Wagner on March 3, 1930 in Knightstown IN. Mary loved being with her family, crocheting, wordsearches and playing cards. She is survived by a sister, Evelyn; special friends, Charlotte and Ralph Chissell; special grandchildren, Brayden, Carson and Aaliyah; friends, Ray, Connie, Josh, Angel and Anita and all her friends at Maplewood Terrace. She was preceded in death by two sister and three brothers.

Ann Rose Quinter – Short

Ann Rose Quinter – Short, age 56 of Richmond passed away Saturday September 19, 2020 at Forest Park Health Campus. She was born in Richmond, Indiana on October 10, 1963 to Elmer and Janet Schneider Quinter. Ann graduated from Richmond High School in 1982. She worked at Target for 17 years and was a para-professional at Test School for 6 years. Ann was an animal lover her whole life and enjoyed fishing on family camping trips to the upper peninsula every summer when she was younger but her lifelong passions where reading, sewing quilts and embroidering.

Norma Jean Marangoni

Norma Jean Marangoni, age 89, of Centerville, Indiana, died Monday, September 21, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family. Born February 28, 1931, in Richmond, Indiana, to Guy and Flora Postin Rodgers, Norma was a life-long resident of Wayne County, Indiana. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1949. Norma was a member of First Assembly of God. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family and friends.

David K. Wise

David K. Wise, 71, of Mooreland passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at his residence. He was born July 11, 1949 in Albany, Kentucky a son of the late William K. and Nina Virginia (Kearney) Wise. He attended New Castle Chrysler High School and received his GED at age 31. David retired from Chrysler Corporation in 2001 after 31 years of service. A folk artist, he carved wooden Santa’s and other figurines.

Glenda Gail (Mitchell) Hermann

Glenda Gail (Mitchell) Hermann, 70, of Connersville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. She was born on November 29, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to James and Lexie Lee Mitchell (Jones). She married Edward J. Hermann on April 12, 1969 and he survives. She is survived by her mother; her siblings, David (Diane) Mitchell, Elizabeth (Jack) Barhorst, and Kevin Mitchell; three children, Christopher Hermann of Westport, Rachel (Joey) Nuxoll of Rushville, and Margaret (Derek) DeBusk of Carthage: Eleven grandchildren: Abigail (Katie) Boyer, Andrew (Kristina) Hermann, Anthony Hermann, Arin Hermann, Anna Hermann, Adelle Nuxoll, Dreama Nuxoll, Cecilia Russell, Wyatt Russell, Gavin DeBusk and Gage DeBusk; two great-grandchildren: Autumn and Russell Hermann. Her father, James, and her Grandma Myrtle Scott preceded her in death.

Robert William Rollins, Jr.

Robert William Rollins, Jr., 55, of Rushville, passed away September 20, 2020 at his residence. He was born November 28, 1964 in New Castle, Indiana to Robert Rollins, Sr. and Mary Gannon Rollins. On August 15, 2013, he married Gwen Qualls in Brookville, Indiana. Mrs. Rollins survives. Robert was a member of Eagles of Rushville.

Christopher H. Smith

Christopher H. Smith, of Brookville, was born on March 16, 1975 in Oxford, Ohio a son to Jesse and Carole Peak Smith. He married Holly Simmermeyer on September 11, 1999 at St. Michael’s Church and together they had two daughters. Chris was Vice President of B & F Plastics in Richmond for over 20 years where he mentored many fellow employees and helped make it the successful company it is today. He was a member of St.

Joy L. Mills

Joy L. Mills, 51, of Hollansburg, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020, at the State of the Heart Care Center in Greenville, Ohio. She was born on January 18, 1969, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Archie and Barbara (Clark) Swink. In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her uncles, Merle Schenck and John Clark. First and foremost, Joy loved her “wind therapy”. She was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed being on the road.

Jennie M. Jordan

Jennie M. Jordan, age 85, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, September 20, 2020, at Friends Fellowship Community. Born March 20, 1935, in North Salem, Indiana, to Donald and Eva West Lowe, Jennie lived here until moving to Indianapolis, Indiana, when she was eight years old. Jennie was a 1952 graduate of Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. She met her future husband, Richard Bumpas, at church during high school, and they were married right out of high school in 1952. Jennie and Richard had four children.
