Lisa R. Charles Hart

Lisa R. Charles Hart, age 58, of Brownsville, Indiana, died Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Reid Health after a 17-year battle with cancer. Born August 10, 1961, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Everett Monroe and Mary Elizabeth Barry Charles, Lisa was a life-long resident of Union and Wayne County. She graduated from Union County High School in 1979 and earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University in 2002. Lisa formerly worked as an accountant for Webb & Associates in Richmond and JRS Wealth Management in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a member of the Indiana Maple Syrup Association.

Donald J. Byrket

Donald J. Byrket, 88 of Englewood, OH passed away July 3, 2020. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on February 18, 1932, the son of Donald J. Byrket and Mildred P. (Sieweke) Byrket. Don was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He drove a truck for ABF for many years until retirement. He loved to golf, as well as, fishing and camping with family.

Patricia J. McClain Amburn

Patricia J. McClain Amburn, age 88, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Forest Park Health Campus. Born December 19, 1931, in Richmond, Indiana, to Robert H. and Retha M. Noffsinger McClain, Pat was a life-long resident of Richmond. She was a member of the 1950 graduating class of Richmond High School. Pat enjoyed sewing, reading, playing the piano, and watching movies, especially those starring John Wayne or Betty Grable. She loved her family dearly and poured her life into taking care of her daughter, grandson, and beautiful great-grandchildren.

Nancy Julia (Merz) Renner

Nancy Julia (Merz) Renner, 93, of New Castle, passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 2, 1926, in Muncie, Indiana, a daughter of the late Harry L. and Emily (Carmichael) Merz. Nancy grew up in Muncie and graduated from Muncie Central High School, then attended Ball State Teachers College, where she majored in English and French. While at Ball State, she was treasurer of the freshman class and belonged to Kappa Delta Pi, an honorary fraternity. She also belonged to the Girls Club and Spotlight Club, was a member of Gamma Gamma Sorority and the Inter-Sorority Council, serving as president of both.

Charles Richard Drury

Charles Richard Drury, age 72, of New Castle, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 after an extended illness. He was born in Muncie, Indiana on November 17, 1947. Charles attended the Indiana School for the Deaf and graduated in 1965. Although Charles was born completely deaf, it never stopped him from enjoying life. In fact, one of his fondest memories was going to New Castle elementary schools and teaching American sign language to students.

Ronnie Reneau

Ronnie Reneau, age 58 of New Castle passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at The Waters of New Castle. He was born December 30, 1961 in New Castle the son of Raymond and Wilma Allen Reneau. Ronnie enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Indianapolis Colts. He is survived by his mother Wilma, 2 brothers Mickey Reneau of New Castle, and Randall Reneau of New Castle. Several cousins.

Grant D. “Bubby” Farmer

Grant D. “Bubby” Farmer 60 of Hazard, Kentucky died July 6, 2020 at the Hazard Hospital. He was born May 16, 1960 in Richmond to Grant and Connie Davis Farmer and lived here most of his life until moving to Kentucky 13 years ago. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Survivors include the love of his life Beverly Whitaker and her two sons and one daughter, his sister Cindy (Raymond) Gray of Richmond, three nieces Angie, Ginger, and Kasey, and one nephew Doug, great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Sherry Eggers, one niece Koty Eggers.

William “Bill” Richard Harshman

On Sunday, July 5, 2020, William “Bill” Richard Harshman, passed away at the age of 81. He was born in Winchester on April 28, 1939 to Forest and Madonna (Stephenson) Harshman. Bill married Kay (Bertram) Harshman on July 9, 1971. He was a graduate of Madison Township High School (1957) and International Business College (1959). Bill worked at Westinghouse/ABB for 34 years.

David Mayse

David Mayse 81 of Richmond passed away July 5, 2020 in his home after a short illness. He was born July 6, 1938 in Lee County, Ky. to Scott and Ollie Mayse and lived here most of his life. He worked for PRC until 1983 and he retired from JM Hutton Casket Factory. David was a member of Straightline Pike Pentecostal Church.

Michael J. Jobe

Michael J. Jobe, 60 passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on November 22, 1959 in Richmond, Indiana to the late David Jobe and Janet Antrim Jobe. On October 24, 2004 he married Susan Bonar in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Mike was a lifelong member of the Brownsville United Methodist Church.
