Reeda Louise Smelser Booker Mann, age 94, of Grand Junction, Colorado, died Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Eagle Ridge of Grand Valley Nursing Home in Grand Junction, Colorado. Born January 29, 1923, in Richmond, Indiana, to Claude and Reeda Ridenbaugh Smelser, Reeda was a resident of Wayne County most of her life, moving to Colorado in 1994. She was a former member of Faith Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce E. (Jason) Bailey of Grand Junction, Colorado; sons, John G. (Marsha) Booker of Noblesville, Indiana, Donald D. (Kathy) Booker of Webster, Indiana, and Robert L. (Marsha) Booker of Fountain City, Indiana; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth “Jack” Mann, who died in 1994; parents; sister, Annis Clark; and brothers, Lloyd, John, Burton, and Charles Smelser.

Mary Elizabeth Holcomb, 101 years old, passed away peacefully at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville on Saturday morning October 7, 2017. A daughter of the late George and Crystal (Lannerd) Myers, Mary was born in Jacksonburg, Indiana on August 6, 1916. Formerly of Knightstown, Mary was a longtime resident of Hagerstown and was a graduate Hagerstown High School. Mary was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Hagerstown where she was a member of their sewing circle and the Losantville Eastern Star. She volunteered at the Hagerstown Thrift Store.
