Richard L. “Dick” Berry, Sr., 92, of Fountain City, passed away on Tuesday morning, June 7, 2022, at Reid Health. Dick was born in Richmond, Indiana on May 2, 1930 to George & Jessie Tice Berry. He was a 1948 graduate of Fountain City High School. Dick was a graduate of the Indiana Business College and received his first job offer from Lathrop Hatchery two weeks before graduation. Dick enlisted in the US Army in 1952.

Donald E. Coblentz, age 93, of New Paris, OH passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at his residence. He was born on December 16, 1928 in Preble County, OH to the late Walter Charles and Cecile Dean (Brown) Coblentz. He was a 1946 graduate of Jefferson High School; and was U.S. Navy Veteran that served during WWII. Donald married Rose Ann Reid in 1948. He retired from the U.S. Post office as a rural mail carrier; was a farmer; and drove a school bus for C.R.Coblentz Schools for many years.

Debbie Wallen, 56, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, March 10th, 2022 at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. Debbie was born on June 16th, 1965 in New Castle, Indiana. She lived most of her life in the Western Wayne area. She loved traveling, especially to New York City and Bristol Tennessee. Debbie was preceded in death by her mate of more than twenty years, Richard Dean Dalrymple on July 19, 2010.

Rita Fay Swartz, 67, passed away late Monday night March 1st, 2022, at Henry Community Health, New Castle, Indiana. Rita was born to John Lester and Lillie Pearl (Jones) Ragan on March 17th, 1954, in New Castle. She was raised in the New Lisbon community and attended New Lisbon Christian Church. Rita married her then husband and moved to Anderson where she lived for more than 50 years. Rita worked in area restaurants prior to working at K-mart from where she retired after many years of service.

Leonard Ervin Tungate, age 89, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021, at his residence. He was born June 5, 1932, in Richmond, Indiana and was the son of Cecil and Effie (Smith) Tungate. He married Joan Lacy October 6, 1956, and together they had four children, Joetta, Sharon, Dainty, and Lennie. Leonard served in the Indiana National Guard Co. A 151st Infantry from 1949-1956.

Jeffrey “Jeff” W. Hartsock, age 54, of Connersville, passed away on December 19, 2021 at Reid Healthcare in Richmond. Born on March 27, 1967, in Connersville, he is the son of George and Myrtle Cox Hartsock. Jeff had worked at J & J Packaging in Brookville and continued his employment when the company moved to Sunman. He loved going to Myrtle Beach in his younger years, loved to deer hunt and watching movies. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Anthony Hartsock of Connersville; a sister Sandy Galloway and her husband Robert of Lafayette, IN; and a nephew, Josh Hartsock. Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.

Jerome H. “Jerry” Bolt, 75, formerly of Richmond living in Columbus, Ohio, died December 18, 2021, at Reid Health after an extended illness. He was born November 3, 1946, in Lenoir City, Tennessee to Joseph and Pauline Bolt. He retired from the banking industry and was an Army veteran serving in the Viet Nam War. He was a member of Kirk Little VFW Post #1108, Howard Thomas American Legion Post #315, and the Viet Nam Veterans of America. Survivors include his wife Cindy who he married January 1, 2011, one son Cory (fiance’ Joan) Bolt, two stepchildren Travis (Katie) Marsh, and Mathew (Samantha) Marsh, seven grandchildren, two brothers David (Bonnie) Bolt and Joe Bolt Jr., two sisters Barbara (Wes) Miller and Janice Bolt, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home.

LEWISVILLE – Mark Toms Hubbell, 75, passed away at his home in rural Fayette County early Saturday morning December 18th, 2021. Mark was born in New Castle, Indiana on February 1st, 1946, to the late Glenn and Margaret (Toms) Hubbell. A lifelong resident of Fayette County, Mark attended Bentonville and Harrisburg Schools, and was a 1964 graduate of Connersville High School. Mark attended Ball State University and Earlham College before being drafted into the United States Army. While in the Army, Mark served in Europe and received their highest security clearance in Communications and was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Steve was born on April 27th, 1958, in Richmond, Indiana to the late Raymond Keith and Kathryn Elizabeth (Cameron) McNew. Steve worked as a logger, starting his career at the young age of 12 for McNew Logging in Rushville, Indiana, his father’s logging company. Steve then worked for Lawhorne Veneer of Fairmont, Indiana. Steve finished his logging career at Mac Mulch in Lewisville, Indiana.
