Treyton “Trey” Scott Hill

CAMBRIDGE CITY – Treyton “Trey” Scott Hill passed away Saturday morning, August 19, 2017 at his home in Cambridge City. Treyton was born in New Castle, Indiana on January 17, 1984 and was a lifelong member of the Cambridge City community. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 2002 and was a member of the Golden Eagles varsity basketball team. In his leisure, Trey enjoyed watching NASCAR and horror movies, working on electronics, and playing with his dog. Survivors include his father, Jeffery Scott Hill of Cambridge City; his mother, Kimberly Jane (Vance) Lawrence of Richmond; two sisters, Heather Morrow of Connersville and Kaitlyn Lawrence of Richmond; step-grandmother Velma Hill; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Jerry J. Huber, age 85, of Centerville, Indiana, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at his home. Born March 24, 1932, in Richmond, Indiana, to George J. and Gladys E. Simpson Huber, Jerry was a life-long resident of Wayne County. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1951 and attended Earlham College. Jerry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Joseph Gordin Phillips, age 87, of Centerville, Indiana, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Heritage House of Richmond. Born March 21, 1930, in Brownsville, Indiana, to Benjamin and Emma Locke Phillips,
Joseph lived most of his life in Centerville. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving in the occupying forces in Germany. Joseph retired from NATCO and farmed cattle with his nephew, John Scott.

NEW CASTLE – Jean Ann Engle, 64, passed away Sunday morning August 13, 2017 at her home in New Castle. A daughter of the late James Kenneth and Kathryn (Meyer) Pass, Jean was born in New Castle, Indiana on October 16, 1952. She was an avid lover and supporter of the Indianapolis Pacers and Colts. Jean also enjoyed collecting snowmen. Formerly of the Cambridge City community, she was a graduate of Lincoln High School.

ALBANY, IN – Amanda E. “Mick” Medler, 91, went to be with her lord and savior on Saturday evening August 12, 2017 at the home of her son, daughter in-law and granddaughter Madison in Albany, with them by her side. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. daughter of the late Nelson and Annie (Reed) Whitton. Amanda was born in Greensburg, Indiana on March 1, 1926. She grew up in the Cambridge City area, where she attended Cambridge City High School.

CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Mary H. Holt, age 70, of Centerville, Indiana, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Reid Health. Born March 26, 1947, in Richmond, Indiana, to Eugene and Helen J. Kramer Rhinehart, Mary lived most of her life in Wayne County. She was a 1965 graduate of Centerville High School. Mary was a teller at Wayne Bank and retired in 2009.

Joyce A. Rastbichler

CENTERVILLE, IN – Joyce A. Rastbichler 92, Centerville, Indiana, passed away Saturday August 12, 2017 at Ambassador Heath Care, a caring and loving community, surrounded by family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. After a successful career in the Insurance Industry, her retirement was spent enjoying life and filling the lives of her grandchildren with love. She was preceded in death by her only child Cathy A. Rastbichler and is survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, who will sorrowfully miss the joy and laughter Joyce brought to their lives. A private service will be held by Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home at the site of burial. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation at www.alzfdn.org.

Connersville, IN – Samuel “Lewie” Mains, 88, of Connersville, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at his home, which he proudly built himself. He was born on September 22, 1928, in Connersville, Indiana, and is the son of Walter Pete Mains and Pauline May Mains, both of whom preceded him in death. On September 15, 1951, he married Molly Ruth Richardson. Samuel served for 4 years with the United States Navy. He was a member of Harrisburg Union Church.
