Robert Eugene Hall, 83, of Connersville, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at The Springs of Richmond. A son of Carl and Helen Schroy Hall, Robert was born on May 19, 1934, in Kitchel, Indiana. He graduated from Williamsburg School with the class of 1952. Following graduation, Robert joined the United States Army where he served in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He retired with the rank of Sergeant First Class in the Army Motor Pool after 24 years of service.

Mandy Marie Gabbard, 34, of Richmond died Sunday October 29, 2017, at her home. She was born November 30, 1982, in Richmond to Angela Foust Firth and Jeffrey L. Gabbard. She formerly worked for Pro Flowers, and was a member of The Lifted Church and 222 Club. Survivors include her daughter Zoe Renee McIntosh, her parents, one brother David Firth, her grandparents William and Sandy Tandy, her uncle Sgt. Ed Kenney, aunt Renee Elliott, her great-uncle Jerry (Kathy) Wise, who was like a father to her.

STRAUGHN, Ind. – Doris Ailene (Pass) Raines, 85, passed away Monday morning October 30, 2017, at the home of her daughter in Straughn. A daughter of Gene and Ruby Clark and Richard and Frances Pass, Doris was born in New Castle, Indiana, on February 25, 1932. She lived most of her life in the New Lisbon community and graduated from high school there in 1950. Doris was a stay-at-home mom and had worked at the Veach’s Store in Cambridge City.

Ida M. Soper, 92, of Richmond passed away October 31, 2017, at Arbor Trace. She was born January 2, 1925 in Winber, Pa., to Gabor and Ida Balogh and lived in Richmond most of her life. She was a graduate of Morton High School; and was retired from Belden. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her three children Michael (Cheryl) Soper of Centerville, Linda (Jeff) Climer of Richmond, Claude Soper of Centerville, twenty grandchildren, numerous great, great-great and great great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
