Troy B. Holliday

Troy B. Holliday, 85, of Inverness, FL and formerly of Cambridge City, IN passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He was born on November 11, 1931 in Stone County, AR to Theodore Roosevelt and Ethel Amy (Southard) Holliday. Troy grew up in Mt. Olive, AR and moved to Milan, IN in 1944. Beginning August 22, 1952, Troy served in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran.

Ronald Ray Houston, 59 of Glenwood, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, September 30, 2017, at Fayette Regional Health Systems from an apparent heart attack. A son of Hobert G. and Pansy McRay Houston, Ron was born on October 16, 1957, in Batesville, Indiana. He graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1977 and was raised in and a member of Western Avenue Baptist Church. He attended Ben Davis Creek Christian Church in Rush County with his family. On July 1, 1994, Ron married the former Debra “Debbi” Kay VanNess Moore in Fayette County, Indiana.

Howard Edward Telker, 86, a longtime member of the Brownsville community, passed away Saturday morning, October 7, 2017, at the Whitewater Commons Senior Living Center, of Liberty, Indiana. He was born on September 15, 1931, in Franklin County, Indiana, one of three children of Edward and Elsie Howell Telker and was a graduate of Brownsville High School with the class of 1949. During the Korean Conflict, Howard served his country in the United States Marine Corps, obtaining the rank of Sergeant. On December 4, 1955, he was married at the Brownsville United Methodist Church to Charlotte Ann May. Mrs. Telker survives.

Donald Eugene Eichacker, 86, formerly of Connersville, now residing in McCordsville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. One of four children of Lloyd Anthony and Ethel Christian Eichacker, Donald was born on February 28, 1931 in Batesville, Indiana. Don moved to Fayette County with his family as a young child and graduated from Bentonville High School with the class of 1949. Don spent his career serving his country in the United States Air Force, having been stationed at Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico and Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas.

RICHMOND, Ind. – David B. Gray, age 62, of Richmond, Indiana, died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 3, 2017, while doing what he loved most, deer hunting. Born May 22, 1955, in Richmond, Indiana, to Lester Leroy and Ida Merritt Gray Sr., David was a life-long resident of Richmond. He was a 1974 graduate of Richmond High School, where he played football. David formerly worked at the Richmond Baking Company, Spartech Plastics, Webb’s Antique Mall, and Kemper Cabinets in Richmond.

Shirley Lucille Clevenger

DUBLIN – Shirley Lucille Clevenger, 74, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at Reid Hospital. Shirley was born May 18, 1943 in Savage (Clinton County) Kentucky to Robert and Ova (Massingale) Davis. Formerly of Connersville, she has made her home in the Dublin community since 1978. Known as the “Paper Lady” she delivered newspapers for the Palladium Item from 1980 until her retirement in 2005. An avid flower and vegetable gardener, she enjoyed spending time outside and her family always said “you couldn’t keep her indoors.” She was also Deacon at Grace Temple in Knightstown.
