Shelby Elizabeth Terrell, age 31, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis. Born July 31, 1990, in Richmond, to Gregory and Sandra E. Honeycutt Terrell, she lived in the Hagerstown/Richmond area for most of her life. She was a creative spirit and enjoyed reading, listening to music and spending time with her friends and family. Survivors include her father, Gregory Terrell of Richmond; sister, Misty Michelle (Dave) Newman of Richmond; paternal grandmother, Robbie Barrett; grandfather, Jon Brausa; maternal grandfather, Willie Morris (Debbie) Honeycutt; niece; nephew; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends. Shelby was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra E. Terrell; brother, Austin G. Terrell; maternal grandmother, Alice Jeanette Brausa; and paternal grandfather, Norman E. Terrell. Private Graveside service will be at Fountain Park Cemetery, Winchester with Rev. Kendal Harris officiating.
Lifelong Connersville resident, Colin Ray Lynch, 64, died Monday, December 6, 2021 at Reid Health in Richmond. Colin was born on December 2, 1957 to William C. and Bernice Hollandsworth Lynch in Berea, Kentucky. He was a blue belt in Karate, and a motorcycle enthusiast. Colin was a skilled leather worker who loved to tinker. Colin enjoyed taking care of his dogs.
Patricia Kay McKinney, age 74, of Connersville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021. Patricia was born October 31, 1947. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Goldie M. Jones Patterson, 85, of Connersville died Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Heritage House Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Goldie was born to James A. and Betty Hampton Jones on August 1, 1936 in Liberty, Indiana. She attended and proudly graduated from Union County High School. Goldie married Carrol B. Patterson in Richmond on May 19, 1956; together they spent 40 years before his passing in 1996. She told people her favorite days were the days her children were born.
Gail Isaacs, 73, of Connersville, passed away on December 18, 2021 at her home surrounded by love, friends and family. She was born on March 7, 1948, in Jackson County, Kentucky to Grover C. Cleavland and Hannah Isaacs. On October 31, 1964 in McKee, Kentucky she married Alvin D. Isaacs. They shared 52 years together before he passed on April 4, 2016. Gail had worked in housekeeping at Fayette Regional Health and retired from housekeeping at Lincoln Centers in Connersville. She enjoyed sewing, horse races, bluegrass shows and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by her daughter, Amanda Hamilton; sisters, Marilyn Baker and Barbara Flannery both of Kentucky; six grandchildren, Rebecca Parsley, Michael Burdge, Grace Isaacs, Ethan Isaacs, Ashley Marcum and Alvin Hamilton; seven great grandchildren, Hezekiah Marcum, Hunter Marcum, Hayden Marcum, Preston Hudson, Heaven Hudson, Landon Hudson and Waylon Hamilton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
William “Bill” Duncil Sr. 71 of Connersville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 23, 1949 in Connersville to the late George Duncil Jr. and Helen Maggard Duncil. Bill was enlisted in the United States Army for 2 years. On April 20, 1968 he married Rhonda Shannon at Full Gospel Holiness Church. Bill was a dedicated Christian man and was a faithful member of Full Gospel Holiness.
Betty Lou Vail Thornberry, 82 of Connersville went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2021. Betty was born July 20, 1939, to the late William Vail and Fannie Thornton Vail. On January 8, 1955, Betty married Charles “Dink” Thornberry in Fayette County. They were able to spend 64 years together before he passed away on September 16, 2019. Betty worked at Visteon in Connersville for 28 years prior to her retirement in 1999.
Wilma Colter Offutt, 98, of Connersville passed away on December 9, 2021. She was born on September 4, 1923, to the late John Davis Colter and Helen Lucille Paris Colter. On August 9, 1945, Wilma married Joseph Sinclair Offutt in Liberty, Indiana. They celebrated 61 years of wedded bliss prior to Sinclair’s passing on April 26, 2007. Wilma was a secretary at the automobile factory McQuay- Norris.
Rosalie Hope Steele, infant of Austin Steele and Kiri Williamson was welcomed in the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Rosalie is survived by her parents, a brother, Thesius Sexton; paternal grandparents, April Steele and Ronnie Lockaby; maternal grandparents, Jud (Karen) Williamson and Debbie (Eric) Hatfield-Jones; aunts and uncles, Alex Ramirez, Jaylin Gaddis, Kensey Steele, Josh (Shannon) Williamson, Glitter Hines, Brandon Hatfield and Jayme Williamson; paternal great grandparents, Ada Gaddis and Dale Steele; great great aunt and uncle, Blanch and Brian Gallimore; and cousins, Derek Harrison and Brian Gallimore. Visitation for Rosalie will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th St., Connersville. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Gary Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
Terry Lee Hamm, 74, of Connersville passed away Saturday morning, December 18, 2021 at Majestic Care of Connersville. A life-long resident of Connersville, he was born July 28, 1947, one of four sons of Glenn and Wanda Brown Hamm and was a graduate of Connersville High School. Terry proudly served with the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War in South East Asia. For a number of years, he was employed with D & M and later was a residential painter in the area for many years. On July 8, 1972, he was married in Connersville to Sharon Earl, who survives.
