Obituaries - Charles D. “Chuck” Stapleton

Centerville, IN – Charles D. “Chuck” Stapleton, age 37, of Centerville, Indiana, died unexpectedly due to a heart attack Thursday, August 10, 2017, at his home.

Born April 9, 1980, in Richmond, Indiana, to Russell and Dixie Sparks Stapleton, Chuck was a life-long resident of Wayne County He worked at Trucks & Parts of Ohio, Inc. as a rebuilder. Chuck was a member of the Jokers Car Club and was actively involved with the Centerville Youth League as an assistant softball coach. He was a loving husband, father, and son.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Nancy Bell Stapleton of Centerville; daughters, Hanna and Jillian Stapleton of Centerville; parents; sister, Rhonda Stapleton of London, Kentucky; brother, Randy (Taunya) Stapleton of Monticello, Kentucky; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Susan Bell of Centerville; sister-in-law, Heather (Scott) Berrier of Shirley, Indiana; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charley and Emma Sparks and paternal grandparents, Lewis and Viola Gibbs
Visitation for Charles D. “Chuck” Stapleton was from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. James L. Girdley officiating.
Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
