Charles Henry Caudill, 78, of Connersville passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Golden Rule Living Center in Richmond.

One of three children of Henry and Bonnie Eldridge Caudill, Charles was born in Banks, Kentucky on July 28, 1942.

Charles served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, receiving his honorable discharge in 1966 having earned the rank of Sergeant E5.

Charles was pastor of several churches over the years, including New Point Baptist Church in New Point, Indiana for 25 years. For many years, he was owner of C and J Excavating, and retired from Fraley and Schilling in Rushville.

He was a member of Grace Community Baptist Church and the Free and Accepted Masons Warren Lodge #15. In his leisure time, Charles enjoyed traveling, music, watching old western movies and NASCAR, and attending cruise-ins at Kunkel’s Diner.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Caudill whom he married on May 2, 2010; three sons, Chuck (Christy) Caudill of Jacksonville, Florida, Jeff (Deborah) Caudill of Greensburg, Indiana, and Troy (Stacey) Caudill of Connersville; two step-daughters, Teresa Aviles of Connersville and Leanne Everage of St. Marys, Ohio; three step-sons, Neil (Tabitha) Boggs of Shelbyville, Indiana, Aaron Risselman of Connersville, and Alex Risselman of Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren, MaKayla Caudill, Charles Michael (Natalie) Caudill, Alexus Caudill (fiancé, Cameron Deloney), Kendra Caudill, and Tyler Caudill; fourteen step-grandchildren; sixteen step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack (Nancy) Caudill of Connersville; and a sister-in-law, Jan Caudill of Connersville.

Besides his first wife, Ruth Ellen Caudill, Charles was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark Edward Caudill; and a brother, George Caudill.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Troy Caudill will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.
