Charlotte Dudley, 93, of New Castle, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 22, 2020, at the Rawlins House in Pendleton where she had resided to be near her daughter.

She was born on January 30, 1927 in Wilkinson, Indiana, a daughter of the late Elmer and Arnel (Kelley) Supinger.

Charlotte was a 1945 graduate of New Castle High School. While working at New Castle Loan Company, she met the love of her life, Boyden Dudley, whom she married on July 12, 1948. For many years, Charlotte operated the Merle Norman Studio in downtown New Castle for her mother-in-law, Minnie Dudley. Following retirement, Charlotte generously gave of her time volunteering at the Henry County Memorial Hospital, the Red Cross, and the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, where she was named the volunteer of the year. Charlotte was a long-time very active member of First Friends Church in New Castle.

Those left to cherish Charlotte’s memory include her daughter, Jacque (Michael) Brown of Pendleton; daughter-in-law, Diana Dudley of Melbourne, Florida; four grandchildren, Christopher (Jodi) Brown of Pendleton and Nathaniel Brown of Carmel, Kelley (Justin) Morris of Spanish Fort, AL, and Brandon (Amanda) Dudley of Columbia, SC; six great-grandchildren, Parker, Raegan, and Beckham Brown, Brianna and Jade Morris, and Charlotte Dudley, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyden Dudley; a son, Brian Dudley, and seven brothers and sisters.

Due to Covid 19, services will be held privately at Sproles Family Funeral Home with burial following in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
