Christopher George, 63, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 5th at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.

Chris was born in Richmond, Indiana, on April 12th, 1958, the son of Donald R. & Martha “Maggie” Ann Robbins George. He was a 1976 graduate of Northeastern High School.

Chris attended Purdue University, where he was a member of the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band. He left college to join the Navy, where he completed two years of service before being discharged. Chris was an avid fan of rock n’ roll and loved sharing his passion for music with his friends, family, and anyone else who would listen to him for a turn. When not sharing his love of music, Chris enjoyed building radio antennas and making connections with fellow amateur radio operators around the world—he was a member of the American Radio Relay League. He had a deep appreciation for history, which he shared with his children through trips to museums, various historical sites, and books. Chris was a genuine, happy soul who loved to talk and never met a stranger.

Chris will be missed by his children, Brittney Kundtz, Christine George, Kelsie George and Sam George; stepdaughter, Lois Boatman; grandchildren, Abby Kundtz, Ali Davis, and Hunter Kundtz; sister, Lizann Bane & husband Curt; brother, Roger George & wife Tami; special friends, Nancy Ross & fiancé Dana Clay; and several nieces & nephews.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents.
