Christopher Lee Sharp, age 60, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021. He was born December 14, 1960 in New Castle, Indiana to Glenn L. Sharp and Gloria Jean (Ballard) Sharp.

In his youth, Chris was an award-winning dog obedience trainer in 4H. Chris also loved Mt. Lawn Speedway where he spent many weekends racing with his friends. Chris was also a published author and an award-winning artist. Chris was an avid fan of Trojan football for many years he didn’t miss a game and was the loudest fan there. He retired from the state of Indiana after 38 years working at the state hospital, and at the Soldiers and Sailors Children’s Home/Hoosier Youth Challenge Academy in Knightstown.

Chris loved his family and friends dearly. He’s most proud of his son, Matt and his accomplishments.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Cynthia D. (Orr) Sharp; his son, Matthew T. Sharp; a brother, Curtis A. Sharp.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn L. Sharp and Gloria Jean (Ballard) Sharp; his grandparents, Donald G. Ballard and Julia D (Mayer) Ballard; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
