Clifford Elmer Siler, age 87, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018, at Reid Health.
Clifford was born on July 7, 1930, in Whitley County, Kentucky, to Ernest and Artie Perkins Siler. He was a hardworking farmer, working on Kentucky horse and dairy farms until moving to Indiana. Clifford started working as an equipment manager and groundskeeper at Hill Floral Products Co. in the 70s, retiring in September 2017. He enjoyed auctions and tending his flowers.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Bertha Siler; daughter, Gloria (Elwood) Lister of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; stepchildren, Mary (Tim) Franklin of Economy, Indiana, and Earl Clarkston of Florida; grandchildren, Edgar Lister of Louisville, Kentucky, Cliff Lister of Harrodsburg, Heather Cosby of Economy, Trisha (Scott) Jackson of Centerville, Indiana, Randy Franklin of California, and John Talbot of Richmond; brother, James Delbert Siler of Harrodsburg; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Siler; stepchildren, Roberta Catanese and James Clarkston; parents; sister; and brothers.
A graveside service was held on Monday, February 26, 2018, at Crown Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Jon Bennett officiating. Arrangements were handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
