CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Dale C. Temple, age 81, of Centerville, Indiana, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Reid Health.

Born March 11, 1935, in Richmond, Indiana, to Elmer and Marian Goar Temple, Dale was a life-long resident of this community. He was a 1953 graduate of Centerville High School. Dale was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a self-employed truck driver. Dale was a member of the Centerville Christian Church. He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and the Indiana Pacers, and was happy to see the Chicago Cubs win the 2016 World Series. Dale loved Westerns. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Christine Filby Temple to whom he was married on May 28, 1960; daughter, Susie Temple of Richmond; sons, Tom (Betsy) Temple of Centerville and Ken (Rachel) Temple of Franklin, Ohio; four grandchildren, Katie (James) Crawford, Hannah, Emily, and Andrew; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Byran Temple.

Visitation for Dale C. Temple was from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2016, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville.

Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Cochran officiating. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
