Deanna Kaye Dale, 51, of Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Reid Health, just minutes before her 52nd birthday. Her family was at her side as she underwent emergency surgery.
Deanna was born in Hamilton, OH on June 8, 1966 to Raymond and Sharon (Sprau) DeBraun. She has lived in Hagerstown since 1997. On July 10, 1997 she married Brad Dale. They share five children, Steven Dale (Jenny), Bryant DeBaun, Kelsey Dale (Jerekiah) Nick Dale (Bobbi) and Kaylani Dale (Colton). In addition to her usband and children, survivors include four grandchildren, Jalen, Corbin, Kahleah and Luna; her mother Sharon; her mother-in-law Mary Ellen Owens; four sisters, Carol Dowell, Janet Essig, Toni DeBaun and Amanda DeBaun; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond, and her grandmother, Faye Sprau.
She worked as a manager for Pizza Hut for 25 years, and for the past several years, she was employed at Menards in Richmond, where she loved her time in their garden center. She took in lost souls whether they be animals, plants or kids and tried to help those kids when some wouldn’t.
Visitation will be 4 to 6:30 PM on Tuesday, June 12, at New Testament Church of Christ. Services will follow at 6:30 PM. Joe Sorrell will officiate. Private interment in West Lawn Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Howanitz and his staff for trying everything they could to keep her alive. We also wish to thank everyone for the many kind thoughts, memories and condolences.
