RICHMOND, Ind. – Deborah J. Leonard, age 59, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
Debbie was born on December 6, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan. She was a 1979 graduate of Lakeland High School in Michigan. Debbie moved from Highland, Michigan, to Richmond in 2009. She worked as a manager at Meijer for the past nine years. Debbie was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. She enjoyed creating arts and crafts, cross stitching, working in the garden, camping, and spending time outside in the sunshine. Debbie loved playing and watching movies with her grandbabies. She was hardworking and caring, always thinking about others before herself. Debbie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Ken Leonard; children, Jason (Chelsea) Leonard of Westerville, Ohio, and Melissa Leonard of Richmond; granddaughters, Aubrey and Kinsley Leonard; mother, Kathleen (Ron) Sheehy of Greens Fork, Indiana; siblings, Christine Price, Barb (Bruce) Clayton, and Jeff Fox, all of Richmond; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Sheehy and sister-in-law, Linda Miller.
Visitation for Deborah J. Leonard will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2020, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. An additional visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 815 West Main Street, Richmond. Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Fr. Sengole T. Gnanaraj officiating. A memorial service and internment in a family grave space at Highland Cemetery in Highland, Michigan, will be announced this spring.
