Dinah Lou Moore, 78, of Liberty, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Reid Health in Richmond. She was born on June 8, 1941, in Heidelberg, Kentucky to the late Titus Newton and Della Smith Newton.
On October 15, 1960 she married Glen Moore in Heidelberg, Kentucky. They shared more than 59 years of marriage before her passing.
Dinah had attended Liberty Baptist Church in Liberty for several years.
Dinah worked at Golden Rule Nursing Home in Richmond for over 21 years. She had also worked at Walmart in Richmond as well as Woodruff’s Grocery and Marker’s Grocery in Liberty.
When Dinah was not working, she was a seamstress and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. She also loved working in her garden taking care of her flowers. She enjoyed collecting snowmen and antique dolls.
In addition to her husband Glen, she is survived by 2 daughters, Lisa (Steve) Osterkamp, of Trenton, OH, and Debbie (Chris) Robison, of Union, Kentucky; 5 grandchildren, Michael Hurst, Melissa Hurst, Melanie Hurst, Stephanie Darke and Symantha Hankins; several great grandchildren; a brother, Bill Newton; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Lillian Thomas, Calle Mae York and Ann Jackson; 4 brothers, Charles Newton, Neal Newton, Virgil Newton, and Luther Newton.
Visitation for Dinah will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the next day on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at 2:00pm, Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home, 310 N. Main St. Liberty, IN 47353. A graveside service will follow in Elkhorn Cemetery.
