Donald Arnold DeMao passed from this life to join his mother and grandparents on June 19, 2021.   He was born in Columbia City Indiana on May 9, 1963.  Donnie moved to Richmond when his father became golf pro at Glen Miller Golf Club. He thrived in the environment at Glen Miller and became much loved by the golfers there. Donnie was known as Bam Bam after the Flintstone character because of his amazing strength as a young boy. He became an accomplished finish carpenter and did some amazing woodwork around Richmond and Indianapolis.

Donnie attended St Mary grade school and graduated with a GED from Richmond High School. Like most of his family he was an avid sports enthusiast. He loved the Indianapolis Colts and especially the 500-mile race, attending as a very young man. He especially loved golf and followed family friend Bo Van Pelt on the pro tour.

Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Terry Ringley and stepfather Mike, grandparents Charles and Edna Perrin and Salvador and Loretta DeMao and Uncle Donald Perrin. Donnie will be sadly missed by his father, Ron DeMao, and stepmother, Vicki as well as sisters Charise DeMao, Liz DeMao, and Joni (Tim) Hirons of Richmond, Ron DeMao, Jr. (Julieanne) of Tampa, Florida and Del DeMao, Carmel, Indiana. He leaves behind a special friend and former wife, Sheri Gilmore Foster of Carmel. Many family and friends will miss his laugh and good nature, especially by his cat, Scruffy.
