Donna Joan King, 84, of Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Henry Community Health.
She was born in New Castle on December 21, 1932 to William Newton and Mary Elizabeth (Smalley) Lamb. She was a life long resident of the Hagerstown area.
Donna was a member of Nettle Creek Church of the Brethren. She was a retired employee of Perfect Circle / Dana Corp. and, for ten years, owned and operated Swoveland’s Emporium.
Survivors include five children, Donald J. Swoveland of Phoenix, AZ, Linda M. Patterson of Glendale, AZ, Nancy E. Smith of Hagerstown, Kathy E. Denney of New Castle and Carol L. Bullock of Hagerstown; 8 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and a brother, Edward Dean Lamb of Seattle, WA.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lynn G. Swoveland in 1993; her second husband, Paul “Ben” King in 2003 and 3 siblings, Doyle Lamb, Doris Brown and Duane Lamb.
Visitation will be 1 to 3 PM on Tuesday, September 19, at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 PM in Brick Cemetery.
