Donnie Earl Wallace, 64, of New Castle, peacefully passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2022 at his residence with his loving wife by his side. He was born October 20, 1957, in Albany, KY, and was the son of Arnold and Eva (Covey) Wallace.
Donnie proudly worked as a Mechanic for City Tire Store in New Castle and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all, family was Donnie’s life and he lived for spending time with those he loved. No conversation with Donnie ended without him talking about how proud he was of his family.
Left to cherish his loving memory include his wife, Violet (Sorrell) Wallace; three children, Michelle (Ernie) Hollings, Jason Johnson, and Amy Sutherland; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; eight brothers and sisters; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Eva Wallace.
His granddaughter, Morgan, spoke at the service noting, “Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where the love of our lost ones shine down to let us know they are happy.” She asked that everyone find peace in knowing how happy his loving family made him.
