HAGERSTOWN: Doyne Inman, Jr., 77, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Reid Health.

He was born on December 21, 1941 in Clinton, IN to Clellia (Pizzola) and Doyne Inman, Sr. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and Ball State University, with Bachelor’s, Master’s and Supervisory Education degrees. Doyne served in the US Army from 1960 to 1964. He married Gracie Rought in 1966, and then began his teaching career in the Nettle Creek School system, retiring in 2002. Upon retirement, he worked part-time at the Hagerstown Park.

Doyne was a member of the Congregational Christian Church and American Legion Post 333.

He is survived by his wife, Gracie, one son, Trent (Doreen) Inman of Tampa, FL; one daughter, Leah (Chi) Adams of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, Keeton and Bryson Adams of Hagerstown and Natalie Inman of Tampa; his brother, Pat Inman of Clinton, IN and his sister, Georgetta (Bennie) Hollingsworth of Clinton, IN.

Preceding him in death are his parents and one sister.

There will be no public calling or services.

Culberson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
