Dustin Patrick Goodwin, 30, of Richmond, passed away unexpectedly, at his home Sunday (September 15, 2019). He was born May 22, 1989, to Darryl Goodwin and Remi Sloan. He was a lifelong resident of Richmond.

Dustin was a talented mechanic and model builder, he was obsessed with Hondas, especially his hatch and he loved his RC cars. He was a big tough guy on the outside, but had a big and loving heart. He was a loyal and trusted son, brother and friend. Whatever you needed whenever you needed it, he was there for you. We have lost a truly special person, he will be greatly missed by all and loved, always.

Survivors include his fiancé and soulmate Nicole L. Smith of Richmond, parents Remi (Mike) Sloan of Richmond and Darryl (Larrisa) Goodwin of Connersville; brother Darryl (Lacey) Goodwin of Richmond; sister Savannah Goodwin of Richmond; brothers Donald Goodwin, Jordan Harrison, Harold Goodwin; sister Samantha Goodwin all of Connersville; grandmothers Joy Musselman and Pat Davis both of Richmond; nephew Dessel; many aunts, uncles and cousins; special surrogate family Ray and Brandon Bowman, Danny Hensley, Josh Flesher, Kyle Kaeff, Chuck Crail, Ryan Crail, Heather Scofield and Kameron Scofield. He is preceded in death by brother Jonathon Ray Goodwin; grandparents Darryl and Sallie Goodwin, great grandmother Maxie Mullins, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial service for Dustin will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday (September 30, 2019) at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary (32 South 11th St Richmond, Indiana).
