Earl Jordan, 89, of Connersville died Monday, May 2, 2022 at I.U. Health Bloomington with his family by his side.

The son of Gordon and Alice Everett Jordan, Earl was born on July 30, 1932 in Muncie, Indiana. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1952 where he earned several awards including the Korean Service Ribbon, Bronze Service Star, United Nations Service Medal and National Defense Medal. After returning home, Earl married the former Phyllis Carnes. He was employed as a Field Engineer for Burrough’s until his retirement. Earl was a faithful member of the American Legion, Elks, and Lake Lemon Ducks. Earl was a lifetime member to The Elks and the VFW Post 10304 . He enjoyed collecting hats and Hess trucks. Earl loved boating, cars, taking countless cruises and trips with the American Legion, friends and family. He created many memories spending the winter is Largo, Florida and summers at Lake Lemon.

In addition to his loving wife of sixty-four years, Earl is survived by his son: Rob (Bonnie) Jordan of Muncie; daughter: Cathy (Jeff) Chomel of Connersville; sister: Linda Fisher of Missouri City, Texas; grandchildren: Miles J. Chomel, Cydney K. Rorer; great-grandchild: Harper Ann; nephew: David (Chip) Fisher.

In addition to his parents, Earl is preceded in death by his daughter: Kristina “Kristi” Jordan who died June 9, 1991.

At the request of Earl and his family, a private celebration of his life will be conducted at a later date to remember the good times. Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville has been entrusted with his arrangements.
