Eric Morton, age 61, of Centerville, Indiana, died Monday, May 18, 2020, at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis.
Eric was born on September 26, 1958, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Aster and Polly Magard Morton. He was a 1977 graduate of New Palestine High School. Eric moved to Wayne County, Indiana, in 1989. He managed convenience stores throughout Wayne County. Eric enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Barbara McQueen Morton; children, Crystal Morton, Landon (Amanda) Trump, James (Dana) Cordrey, and David (Kayla) Cordrey, all of East Central Indiana; grandchildren, Kyra, Trinity, Hazel, Wyatt, Tyson, and Conner; sisters, Joyce (Jeff) Samsil of Shelbyville, Indiana, and Loryann (Dennis) Lingenfelter of Alabama; brothers, David (Beth) Morton of Indianapolis and Jesse Morton of Shelbyville; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Eric Morton will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2020, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. A time of remembrance will follow at 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2020, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home.
