Erlinda M. Clemente, 89, of Richmond, passed away July 30, 2022, at Reid Health. She was born June 15, 1933, in Manila, Philippines to Vivencio and Paciencia Ponce Mendoza and lived here most of her life.
She was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.
Erlinda enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and playing bingo.
She is survived by her three children Lisa (Joe) Shirey of Melbourne, Florida, Froylan (Marlene) Clemente of Rocky Point, North Carolina, Lito (Christina) Clemente of Indianapolis, Indiana; five grandchildren Eric Rabern, Rachel Head, Gabby Clemente, Dylan Clemente, Nathan Clemente, four great-grandchildren Savannah Head Cameron, Bella Head Cameron, John Jake Head Cameron, Archer Rabern, three sisters Josefina M. Salavarria, Cristina M. Calderon, Pilarcita M. Espera, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dr. Jose Clemente and two sisters
Liturgy of Christian burial will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 13, 2022, at St. Andrews Church with Rev. Sengole Gnanaraj officiating; a private inurnment in the Earlham Mausoleum will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Friday, August 12, 2022, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home.
