Esther Marie Evans, 56, of Connersville, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at AMG Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. She was born on September 9, 1961, in Batesville, Indiana, and is the daughter of James Mitchell and Martha Jane (Charles) Adkins.
Esther was a 1980 graduate of Connersville High School. She spent her entire life caring for others; working more 35 years as a CNA in both facility and private settings. She is survived by a sister, Tammy Wetter, of Greensburg; a niece, Brittany (Bryan) Cathy, of Greensburg; a nephew, Jacob Adkins, of New Castle; an aunt, Arlene Brockman, of Canton, OH; three great-nieces; 2 great-nephews, and a special friend/sister by choice, Nancy Crist.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father; a nephew, Jeffrey Adams, and maternal grandparents, Herschel and Esther Abshear.
Graveside services for Esther were Monday, October 2, 2017, at West Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown, with Pastor Bill Remley officiating.
