Ethel Ray Hoffman, our beloved mother, best friend and confidante passed away at Heritage House of Richmond on December 20, 2019, after an extended illness. She was born December 26, 1936, to Alonzo Pamplin and Geneva Mitchell.
Ethel had lived most of her life in Richmond; enjoying a lengthy career at Reid Memorial Hospital as a Diet Technician. She loved bowling, home decorating, country living, laughter, but her family and friends most of all.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Maurice Mitchell (Sabrina) of Richmond; two daughters: Dorothy Isom (Anthony) of Richmond, and Andrea “Lynn” Harris of Colorado Springs, Colorado; seven siblings: Maggie Phipps, Janie and Emery Mitchell, of Centerville, IL, Gary Pamplin (Linda) of Richmond, IN, Toddra, Gwen and Roger (Flora) Pamplin of West Memphis, AR; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; and twelve great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son: Rodney K. Hoffman; her parents; four siblings; and a great granddaughter, Marissa Kirtz.
Funeral services will be held at Community Family Funeral Home on Friday, December 27, 2019, at 12 Noon. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Earlham Cemetery. Send online condolences to the family via the guestbook at www.communityfamilyfh.com
