Florence L. “Marty” Herron, age 79, passed away on July 2, 2022 at Reid Health. She was born in Marion, Ohio on May 14, 1943 to Vera Fadely. She graduated from Princeton High School in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1962. Marty met Angela Joy Lacy in April of 1986 and were legally married on June 27, 2014 and had been inseparable for the last 36 years. She loved country music, gardening and taking care of her lawn, watching Wheel of Fortune and Cash Explosion, playing jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit family and spending time with their fur baby Mandy Rae. Marty was a wonderful woman and will be dearly missed by many.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving wife, Angela; stepdaughter Tiffany Coyle of Orlando, Florida; sisters-in-law Wendy Sloan of Richmond, Diana Lacy of Jacksonville, Florida, Lisa Lacy of Orlando, Florida; brothers-in-law Chuck and Randy Lacy of Richmond; several nieces and nephews; special friends from the Iron Skillet Nancy, Jane and the rest of the gang. She is preceded in death by her mother and Angela’s parents Charles and Joanne Lacy.
Services for Marty will be held on Friday July 8, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. with a visitation from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Father Joe Kraemer will officiate. The family would like to give special thanks to Acute Rehab, 5th floor at Reid Hospital; Outpatient Occupational/Physical Therapy, Home Healthcare and family members Wendy Sloan and Crystal Lacy for all the wonderful care and support given to Marty. Memorial contributions may be made in Marty’s name to Help the Animals of Richmond.
