RICHMOND, Ind. – Frances L. Stanton, age 77, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born October 6, 1942, in Nashville, Indiana, to Cecil and Mabel Chafin Followell, Frances graduated from Short High School in Liberty, Indiana. She retired from Cinram, Inc. in 2007. Frances was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 122 Women’s Auxiliary in Liberty. She was an avid reader. Frances enjoyed being outdoors and building bonfires.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Jeff) Gentry of Richmond; grandchildren, Lindsay (Travis Kelly) Powell of Richmond and Nathan (Kathleen Adams) Gentry of Liberty; great-grandchildren, Carson, Joshua, and John; sisters, Edith (Don) Crist of Richmond and Roberta Morgan of Bloomington, Indiana; brother, David (Debbie) Mauller of Liberty; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends, including her dog, Kaci.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Bud” Stanton and parents.

A Celebration of Life for Frances L. Stanton will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2019, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
