Frances Marleen Brown died on December 21, 2017, surrounded by those who love her, at the age of 81. She was born on March 27th, in Cambridge City and lived all her life in Milton. She was the youngest of eight children of Joseph and Mary Meyer.
Marleen is the Mother of four children including Timothy Brown, Denise Market, and Brenda Sparks. The Grandmother of eight very loved children, Anthony Brown, Dana Hartley, Dava Quinn, Brandon Sparks, Nathan Brown, Joseph Brown, Dasan Sparks, and Daniel Market. Marleen was the cherished Great Grandmother of ten.
Marleen retired from the Richmond State Hospital, where she worked as a Qualified Medication Aide, Certified Nurse Aide Physicians Attendant. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Cambridge City, where she leaves many friends who know the grief her family is suffering behind.
She lived a life full of joy. She reveled in spending time with her family. In this day of family spread across the globe she enjoyed long telephone calls, frequent visits from her large loving family, and spending time with family and friends in her small town. She traveled the world and had exactly the life she desired. Throughout the year she enjoyed gardening, knitting, baking and spreading happiness to anyone and everyone around her.
The family will be getting together to celebrate Marleen’s life at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Cambridge City on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Father John Hall will be officiating. Friends may gather at the church from 12:00 noon until start of services at 2:00. Burial will follow in West Side Cemetery in Milton We invite all those who want to remember her and celebrate her life, to bring their favorite photos and stories of Marleen to share with us.
