Franklin “Frank” D. Callis, 84, of Dublin, passed away peacefully at his home Friday afternoon June 8, 2018. A son of the late Washington Lee and Bessie Lee (Willis) Callis, Frank was born in Jamestown, Tennessee on June 9, 1933. Frank was raised in Cambridge City and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1952. He married the former Patricia Mae Brenner on February 15, 1953 in Dublin where they have made their home for the past 63 years. Frank was employed by Belden Wire & Cable in Richmond and retired in 1998 after 46 years of service. In his leisure, Frank enjoyed wood working and playing the guitar.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Patty Callis; 2 daughters, Victoria (Fred) Petry of White Sulphur Springs, W. Virginia and Christina Gigliotti of Dublin; 2 grandchildren, Sara E. Lewis and Kirk Gigliotti both of Dublin; nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Frank’s wishes, no public services are planned at this time.
