Obituaries - Freda Kellenbarger

Freda Kellenbarger, 94 of Eaton, OH, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton. She was born on January 27, 1923 in Hagerstown, Indiana, daughter of the late Raymond and Loretta (Favorite) Heaston. Freda was a 1942 graduate of Hagerstown High School and moved to Eaton in 1950. She was a member of Visitation Catholic Church and the St. Ann’s Sodality both of Eaton and was a member of The Lakengren Red Hat Ladies Society.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John J. Kellenbarger in 2001; brothers, Frank, Raymond and Walter Heaston; sisters, Emma Mustard, Lavern Williams, Beulah Chapman, Anna Burk and Doris Harding; granddaughter, Pamela Schmitt.

Freda is survived by her Daughter, Judy Shaffer; son and daughter-in-law, James and Gloria Kellenbarger; brother, Charles Heaston; sisters, Ruth Stiens and Stella Usher; grandchildren Andi, Jackie, James E., John, Cindi, Jenny, Janelle and Dan; great grandchildren, Amanda, Christina, Tyler, Austin, Autumn, Sara, Renee, Hallie, Elias, Kori, Mary, Travis, Kyle, Kelsey, Tatum, Sydney, Cylie, Jace, Trenton, Joe, Ripley, Brock, Bryce, Kingston and Faye; great grandchildren, Arayhia, Aleahnia, Aaron, Aldon and Alistier; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Visitation Catholic Church, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Eugene Vonderhaar officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton. Family will receive friends on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton. Rosary will be held at 8:00 p.m.
