Gary Dwayne Robertson, 58, of Connersville, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He had been in failing health for the past year.

He was born on June 16, 1960 in Rushville, Indiana to Hurbert Dee Robertson and Demia Ruth Brock – both who preceded him in death.

He married his loving wife – Theresa Marshall Robertson – on April 14, 1984 in Laurel, Indiana. They were married for over 34 years.

He loved the Lord and going to church, and was a dedicated member of the Laurel Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 20 years. He did janitorial and maintenance work for the church for many years. He also attended the Richmond New Life Tabernacle in Richmond, Indiana where his son is the pastor. He was a mechanic for many years, and had also worked for Goins Tree Service of Laurel, Indiana and Myers Family Auto in Connersville, Indiana. He was a wonderful father who loved all of his family – especially his grandchildren. He also loved working outside and gardening.

He will be greatly missed by his wife and family which include 2 daughters – Meranda (Jared) Tinsley and Misty (Brandon) Phillips – both of Connersville, Indiana; 3 sons – Gary Dwayne (Brandi) Robertson, Jr. of Rushville, Indiana, Darrel (Stephanie) Robertson of Falmouth, Indiana, and Gary Wayne (Amber) Robertson of Richlands, Virginia; 2 brothers – Hurbert (Carol) Robertson, Jr. of Greensburg, Indiana and James Dean (Tabitha) Robertson of Norfolk, Virginia; 3 sisters – Evie Gordon of Vero Beach, Florida, Beverley Adams of Greensburg, Indiana, and Vicky Greer of Connersville, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters – Brenda Shoemaker and Violet Attwell and 3 brothers – Chester D. Robertson, Darryl Robertson, and Jerry Robertson.

The visitation for Gary will be held on Monday, December, 17, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Laurel Pentecostal Church, located at 167 Charles Street, in Laurel, Indiana. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Laurel Pentecostal Church. Pastor Glen Goins will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Laurel North Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to assist the family.
