Gerald W. “Big G” Miracle, 72, of Richmond died Saturday October 7, 2017, at Reid Health after a short illness.
He was born October 5, 1945 in Middleboro, Kentucky to Foister D. and Mary Ruth Haley Miracle and lived here most of his life.

He formerly owned Miracle Tree Service and retired from the Richmond Street Department after working 17 years. He played softball for the Miracle Tree Service team, and enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports.
Survivors include his girlfriend of 16 years Dayleann Loudy, three children Betty (Jay) Wilson of Greenfield, Gerald “Little G” (Wanda) Miracle of Richmond, and Mike (Jennifer) Miracle of Connersville, 11 grandchildren Victoria and Radney Rife of Greenfield, Payton (Molly) Miracle of Centerville, Halie and Mariah Miracle of Richmond, Andrew Miracle of Connersville, Makayla Loudy, Josh Loudy Jr. Braiden Loudy, Katelynn Loudy and Matt Parrett, two great granddaughters Raylee and Adelynne Miracle, one brother Larry Miracle of Richmond, one sister Faustine (Sam) Heiser of Powell, Kentucky, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, two sister-in-laws Jill Duckett and Anna Lou Miracle, and his caregiver Jessica Loudy.

His wife of 29 years Vickie died August 11, 1999, his son Jeffrey, his parents, and his brothers and sisters Sam, Joyce, David, and Linda Miracle also precede him in death.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday October 12, 2017 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society 5635 West 96th Street Suite 100 Indianapolis, Indiana 46278.
