Geraldine “Gerry” H. Gable, 93, of Connersville, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Reid Health, Richmond.

She was born February 12, 1929 in Owsley County, Kentucky, the only child of the late Robert G. and Ada Mae Marshall Hale. Geraldine graduated in 1947 from Connersville High School.

On July 17, 1953, she married the love of her life, Thomas A. Gable of Indianapolis, and they moved to Connersville in 1964. Mr. Gable passed away February 29, 2008.

Geraldine retired from the Fayette County School Corporation having served in the special education department for 16 years.

For over 50 years, she was a member of Central Christian Church, serving in various positions within the church and singing in the church choir. She was also a member of the Fayette County Garden Club, Culture Club, and Delta Theta Tau Sorority. In her leisure, she loved tending to her flower garden and traveling to the UK and Paris.

Survivors include a son, Thomas J. Gable and wife Kristine of Connersville; a daughter, Patricia M. Bostwick and husband Daniel of Connersville; a daughter-in-law, Jo Lynne Gable of Lafayette, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Conner Gable, Chandler (Shaina) Gable, and Cayler Gable, all of Connersville, Austin (Katrina) Bostwick and Tori Bostwick, both of Iowa, Kent (Brooke) Gable and Jennifer (Clifton) Felts, both of Louisiana; and seven great-grandchildren, Koleson Gable, Noah Gable, Lilah Gable, all of Connersville, Pierce Gable and Elise Gable, both of Youngsville, Louisiana, and Aiden Felts and Ethan Felts, both of Scott, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Thomas A. Gable; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Gable Rose; and two sons, Timothy Hale Gable and Matthew Robert Gable.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Central Christian Church with Pastor Greg Marvel officiating. Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at Dale Cemetery.
