Obituaries - Glen E. Lawrence

RICHMOND, Ind. – Glen E. Lawrence, age 92, of Richmond, Indiana, died Monday, October 23, 2017, at his home.
Born February 23, 1925, in Peru, Indiana, to Floyd and Daisy Koontz Lawrence, Glen lived most of his life in Richmond. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy on LSM-385. Glen was a real estate agent with Lingle Real Estate for over 50 years and loved every minute of it.

He was a former president of the Richmond Association of Realtors, a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and proud to be a life-time Lutheran. Glen co-founded Seniors on Scooters (SOS) and enjoyed being a volunteer at Reid Hospital for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 75 years, who was his high school sweetheart, Donna Latta Lawrence; two daughters, Sandy (B.C.) Emmons and Nancy Harmer, both of Richmond; five grandchildren, Mark (Robin) Baker of Greens Fork, Indiana, Debby (Bob) Sizemore of Richmond, Carole (Scott) Kramer of Centerville, Indiana, Amanda Harmer of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Michael (Teri) Harmer of Pershing, Indiana; 10 great-grandchildren, Laura (Jon Drutowski) Harsh of Centerville, Josh McDonald of Terre Haute, Indiana, Lindsay McDonald of Richmond, Curtis Kramer of Centerville, Karey Harmer and Kelly (Brandon Peffer) Harmer, both of New Albany, Ohio, Alex (David Argast) Harmer of Bloomington, Indiana, and Jessica, Emily, and Rebecca Harmer, all of Pershing; and two great-great-grandchildren, Cayden Drutowski of Centerville and Kelly expecting in March.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elizabeth Lawrence; and son-in-law, Don Harmer.

There will be a private service for Glen E. Lawrence with Rev. Bob Meckley officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
